ADHD-Friendly Meeting Prep Template

A simple preparation template for work meetings — reduces anxiety, keeps you on track, and helps you retain what was said.

Meetings are disproportionately hard for many people with ADHD: they require sustained attention to verbal information, real-time processing, and memory of what was said — all without the scaffolding that individual work allows.

This template takes 5 minutes to fill in before a meeting and 5 minutes after. That 10 minutes significantly reduces meeting-related anxiety and improves retention.

Before the meeting

  • What is this meeting for?
  • What do I need to say or raise?
  • What do I need to find out?
  • What materials do I need to have open/ready?

During

Write down decisions and action items immediately as they're mentioned. Don't rely on remembering.

After the meeting

  • What decisions were made?
  • What are my specific next actions, and by when?
  • Is there anything I need to follow up on by email to confirm?
